A 50-YEAR-OLD man has been sent to prison for 16 weeks and banned from driving for five years.
David Hagan of Observatory Avenue, Hakin, appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates last Monday, October 18.
It followed his arrest the previous evening in Hakin by Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit.
Hagan admitted disqualified driving, having no insurance and failing to provide a breath specimen.
The magistrates felt that the offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified.
Hagan was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £128 and costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, to be paid on his release from custody.
