Milford Haven coastguard was involved in an extensive search of St George's Channel this morning, after an emergency beacon was activated in the waterway.
A rescue helicopter from Waterford in Ireland and a Nimrod fixed wing airctaft were tasked to search the channel after the beacon was activated.
Coastguard operations room in Milford Haven helped co-ordinate the search and was involved in information gathering.
Nothing was found and the activation was believed to be a false alarm.
