Police are advising drivers to park their vehicles in well-lit areas after thieves tried unsuccessfully to steal a car parked outside Prendergast Junior School.
The blue Ford Mondeo was parked in the school car park between March 25th and last Friday, March 28th.
Thieves gained entry to the vehicle by smashing the window. Once inside they tried to start the car but were unsuccessful.
Anybody with any information concerning the break in is asked to contact Haverfordwest police station on 0845 330 2000.
