Soup nights at Haverfordwest’s County Hall have been such a success the initiative has been extended until the end of March.

Over four Thursday evenings in January around 120 people of all ages enjoyed free soup and bread thanks to generous donations from council suppliers and staff volunteers.

The pop-up scheme will now continue on a Thursday evening throughout February and March using cost-of-living funding.

All are welcome to enjoy a free meal in the former canteen, or to take some soup home.

Pembrokeshire County Council Leader Cllr David Simpson said: “It is fantastic that this staff-led initiative has been so successful and I’d encourage anyone to come along for some free food and company at County Hall.”

Soup night will run every Thursday, 5.30-7.30pm, throughout February and March.
