Some Pembrokeshire residents are looking forward to a new retail giant opening in the county's flagship town of Haverfordwest.
Discount store The Range is set to open at the former Homebase site in Springfield Retail Park next month.
The opening date is set for April 25.
Local residents have expressed mixed feelings about the change.
Steve Altria said: "Sorry to lose Homebase and pleased to welcome The Range.
"Would have preferred both along with Dunelm and most of all Waitrose.
"I won't be queuing though!"
This sentiment reflects concerns about the loss of Homebase, with many hoping for a smooth transition.
Others are more optimistic about the new store.
Sharon Thomas stated: "Hope they keep the staff from Homebase!"
This was echoed by Martina Foster, who also expressed her desire for staff retention, saying: "Brilliant hope they keep the staff from Homebase!"
Such comments highlight the community's concern for local jobs amid the retail shift.
Valerie Nicholas was particularly excited about the new offerings, noting: "Can't wait.
"Their craft section is wonderful."
The Range has promised to maintain a garden centre within the new store, which many believe will enhance shopping options in the area.
The Range's Facebook advert has further generated buzz, stating: "Join us for our official store opening to be one of the first to have a look around the brand new store, shop our range of favourite products plus the new and exclusive Homebase Garden Centre, unmissable offers & much more."
The invitation to the grand opening, complete with goody bags for the first 50 customers and their dogs, suggests a festive atmosphere to welcome the change.
70 Homebase stores - including the one in Haverfordwest - were bought out by CDS Superstores, who own The Range and Wilko.
The company plans to convert the 70 stores - saved from administration - into The Range, but will be integrating Homebase-branded garden centres and in some, kitchen sections.
However, the kitchen section has not been announced for Haverfordwest.
More than 50 of the stores are set to be converted to The Range by the end of May.
