Pembrokeshire County Council will showcase career opportunities at this year’s Pembrokeshire County Show.

The jobs fair will take place during the two-day event on August 20 and 21, with the council hosting a marquee in Zone A, opposite the show jumping and equestrian rings.

Visitors will be able to meet cabinet members and the chief executive, learn about ongoing projects across the county, and explore future employment opportunities.

Richard Brown, assistant chief executive of Pembrokeshire County Council, said: "Our teams are excited about meeting visitors and having the opportunity to demonstrate what they do – and highlight the wide range of career opportunities we have to offer.

"The County Show is the perfect place to celebrate the amazing produce we have to offer – and to meet new and old friends.

"Please come and visit our marquee and discover more at our jobs fair and about our transformational projects, which will improve the lives of our communities and visitors.

"I look forward to meeting you."

The council will use the event to promote various roles and raise awareness of its employee support schemes and career progression opportunities.

In addition to the jobs fair, visitors will be able to find out more about major projects such as the Haverfordwest Castle redevelopment and take part in a consultation engagement event with town and community councils.

Councillor Paul Miller, deputy leader of Pembrokeshire County Council, said: "The County Show is a well-loved and important celebration of rural life in Pembrokeshire, and we are delighted to be part of the event once again.

"Our staff and members will be chatting to lots of people from communities right across Pembrokeshire – please drop into our stand and say hello – we're looking forward to meeting you."
