A fire service has become the first in Wales to introduce male incontinence bins across its sites.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) have installed the bins in support of men living with incontinence, including those affected by prostate cancer.
The initiative is part of The BOG STANDARD campaign, a partnership between phs Group and Prostate Cancer UK.
A total of 26 male incontinence bins and 11 product vending machines have been installed across 56 MAWWFRS locations.
A spokesman for the service said: "We are proud to be the first Fire and Rescue Service in Wales to install sanitary bins for men with incontinence and prostate cancer.
"Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service has joined phs Group and Prostate Cancer UK's The BOG STANDARD, helping make sure men get the dignity and support they deserve.
"Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men.
"Many men experience incontinence after treatment, yet suitable disposal facilities in male toilets are still far too rare.
"To change that, we’ve installed 26 male incontinence bins and 11 product vending machines across 56 of our sites, ensuring our staff and visitors have access to the right facilities when they need them".
The spokesperson explained that it is "a small change that makes a big difference".
They said: "By signing up to The BOG STANDARD, we’re helping break the stigma, support men’s health, and set a new benchmark for workplaces across Wales".
