A high street inn is gaining praise for its seasonal menus and boutique-style décor.

The Angel Narberth, an 18th-century-style inn located at the top of the high street in the market town of Narberth, has been named eatery of the week and was recently shortlisted as a finalist in the Rising Star category at the 2026 Croeso Awards.

Louise Morgan, who owns The Angel with her business partner Lyndon and has run it for the past seven years, said: "Being named as one of the finalists is a real honour and something I’m incredibly proud of.

"It’s wonderful to have the hard work and commitment we’ve put into the business recognised.

"Running hospitality is challenging but creating a place where both locals and visitors enjoy spending time makes it all worthwhile."

The Angel is known for its homemade food with lunch and dinner menus that change seasonally, featuring dishes such as sharing platters with Welsh cheeses and a hearty mixed grill.

All dishes are made using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients, and the drink selection is equally well considered.

Guests can choose from an array of award-winning gins, rums, whiskies and craft ales, which can be enjoyed in the inn’s beer garden under a large wooden arbour.

The interior blends modern design with traditional features, creating a relaxed yet stylish setting.

The Angel’s reputation continues to grow, earning it a Travellers’ Choice award in 2025 on TripAdvisor and nearly 250 ‘excellent’ customer reviews.

One visitor said: "I had a fantastic experience from start to finish.

"The place was very clean, modern, and welcoming, with a great selection of craft beers and wines.

"The service was fast, efficient, and delivered by genuinely friendly and attentive staff.

"As for the food — absolutely outstanding."

Located at the top of the high street in Narberth, The Angel has become a favourite for both locals and tourists exploring Pembrokeshire.

She said: "We’re always looking ahead, with plans to continue developing our seasonal menus, support local suppliers and keep investing in The Angel to ensure it remains one of Pembrokeshire’s favourite places to eat, drink, and socialise."
