Pembrokeshire County Council announced that the unclassified U3079 road will be closed from its junction with the C3017 Mathry to Abercastle road, northeast to a spot near the property known as Felin Dwarch.
The work, which involves both underground and overhead cabling, is scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 8, 2026, and is expected to last for around seven working days.
The road will be closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day.
The council says the work will be done in stages to keep disruption to a minimum.
A detour will be in place for drivers, directing them via the C3017 Abercastle to Mathry road, the C3113 road leading to the A487, the A487 St Davids to Fishguard road, the U3136 road towards St Nicholas, and the U3079.
The council has also stated that the order will remain valid for a maximum of 18 months.
Signs will be put up to inform drivers of the changes.
