The Celebrity Traitors is about to be shaken by a dramatic new twist.

The semi-final episode, airing on Thursday, October 29, is set to feature a "sensational turn of events" that has never been seen before on the show.

This twist, described as completely unexpected and unpredictable, has even surprised the show's producers.

A source told The Sun: "Just when you think you know exactly how the series will play out, there’s another sensational turn of events.

"It’s one which no one is likely to see coming – the producers of the show certainly didn’t predict it.

"The likes of this has never been seen on the show before and may never be seen again."

The exact details of the twist are being kept secret to avoid spoiling the episode for viewers.

A source told The Sun: "It all adds up to make the semi-final an absolutely unmissable episode and the perfect lead into the finale on Friday."

The last episode ended on a cliffhanger, with fans left waiting to discover whether Joanne McNally or Sharon Rooney would be banished from the castle.

King Kenny is set to reveal his double vote at the round table.

The most recent contestant to leave the game was Miranda Hart, who was "murdered" by Traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster, and King Kenny on Friday, October 23.

Ms Hart was visibly moved after opening the envelope confirming her departure from the show.

She said: "Ultimately, in my little personal story, this has been quite extraordinary that I've been able to get back and do the thing that I love professionally and do the things that I love personally, like wandering around a Scottish highland and being in nature and laughing and connecting.

"There were times that I didn't think that would be possible again."

Ms Hart's Lyme disease left her bed-bound.

She said: "I have missed doing television so much and it has been a very hard road to get to a place after restricting long term illness to be fit enough to do something again."

She also joked about being glad she wasn’t banished, saying her exit speech would have been "emotional and mushy".

Ms Hart said: "I also would have tried to extend the reveal of what I was an absurdly long time.

"Anything for some more airtime."
