A new paranormal-themed shop has opened in Newport city centre, with plans for a haunted museum and year-round ghost-hunting events.
Nathan and Chloe’s paranormal investigation company, That’s The Spirit, opened its new premises in Newport’s historic arcade on Saturday, October 31.
The opening was part of the Witches and Ghouls Halloween Market, organised with Newport Arcade and local event organiser Kirsty Harris.
Visitors travelled from across South Wales and the West of England, including Cardiff, Bristol, Bath and the Valleys.

The market featured independent stalls, tarot and spiritual readings, children’s Halloween activities, food and sweets.
The shop sells paranormal clothing, gifts and accessories designed by That’s The Spirit and made by local small businesses.
The shop will also be the base for the company’s paranormal investigations and ghost hunts at locations across the UK.
Nathan and Chloe hope to bring something different to Newport’s shopping scene, with Halloween-inspired experiences continuing beyond October.

They also plan to open a haunted museum, which they say would be Newport’s first attraction of its kind.
The team also plans to work with other arcade businesses on unusual events and experiences throughout the year.
Kirsty Harris, who helped organise the market, said it showed the importance of supporting Newport’s independent businesses.
She said: "It was a really positive event for Newport, supporting local independents, encouraging footfall into the city centre and showcasing something a little different happening locally.

"We had visitors from Cardiff, Bristol, Bath and the Valleys who came down to see the day."
The opening comes as Newport city centre faces empty shops and changing shopping habits.
Organisers hope events such as the Halloween market will draw more people to the city’s independent shops and historic arcades.
That’s The Spirit hopes its ghost hunts, paranormal merchandise and potential haunted museum will give visitors another reason to visit Newport city centre.
