An abandoned cat, who was dumped in a wire cage in a field, has found a new home after being spotted in the Western Telegraph.

Primrose was taken in by Ellesmere Animal Rescue Centre, Letterston, earlier this month after being found abandoned near Welsh Hook.

Ellie Morris, who runs the centre, is delighted that Primrose has found a good home in Milford Haven.

Ellie said: “It’s all working out fine. Primrose is still a little frightened, but health wise, has greatly improved.

“It’s great news, it’s not easy to find homes for animals like her.”

New owner Pat said: “I saw her picture and fell in love with her.

“We’re over the moon, she’s settling in very well and starting to come out of her shell.

“We’re taking everything slowly, it’s a step further every day, but she’s started jumping up onto my knee. It makes you wonder what sort of person could do that to an animal.”
