Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused to St Mary's Church in Begelly.

A twenty foot length of the church wall, which is a listed structure, was damaged between March 16th and the following day.

Coping stones, the decorative top stones of the boundary wall between Parsonage Lane and the church, were pushed into the lane along a 20 foot stretch.

Sergeant Aled Davies, at Narberth police station, said that the cost of the damage will run into thousands of pounds, as the wall is listed and the services of a specialist stonemason will have to be enlisted.

He is appealing for any witnesses to the damage to contact him at Narberth police station on 0845 330 2000.
