An 86-year-old man died in Fishguard on Monday, after he collapsed outside the Cambrian Inn, in Hamilton Street.
Emergency services were alerted to a man lying on the road at 10.54am.
Members of the public and police officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived at the scene, but resuscitation attempts were not successful.
The man was taken to Withybush Hospital.
A police spokesman said the man's next of kin and HM Coroner for Pembrokeshire, Michael Howells, have been informed.
