Rhiannon Llewellin will be looking at the 2004 County Show from an entirely different perspective.

Last year, she was recording and taking pictures of the event as a reporter for the Milford Mercury.

This year she will find herself on the other side of the camera.

As Miss County Show, the 23-year-old will be presenting prizes, visiting stands and attending lunches and receptions.

A farmer's daughter Rhiannon, of Cotland Farm, Llawhaden, has been a member of her local Young Farmers' Club since she was ten. She has twice been secretary of Llawhaden YFC, has been its chairman and has represented the club in many competitions. She has been particularly successful in public speaking at Welsh and national level and won the award for best chairman in the national finals last year.

Rhiannon joined the Milford Mercury's editorial team almost two years ago, after graduating with an English degree from Cardiff University.

Looking forward to her three days as Miss County Show, Rhiannon said: "It will be a lot of hard work, but it is a great honour for me personally and for my club. I know it will be one of my best ever experiences of the County Show."
