Dear editor - Having read the article on April 19th, 'Legal challenge could delay plan', we would like to point out that our objections to the modified Joint Unitary Development Plan (JUDP), on behalf of the residents of Fleming Crescent, were not correctly presented to the cabinet.

The objection made was to stop our amenity land from being included in policy 40 of the modified JUDP. The land in question is used for recreation and has been used in this way for the past 50 years. We wish to continue to use the land as an open amenity area only, and have it designated as an official village green. We are taking the necessary legal steps to try to achieve this. What was presented to the cabinet was that the land in question was not used for recreation. This was totally wrong information, so on April 10th, the cabinet made a decision based on wrong information. We have now written to the chief executive, Bryn Parry Jones informing him of this and we await his response. If it is not to our satisfaction, we will be taking the matter further.
