Fisherman Daniel Birch is hoping to be reeling with success after tomorrow's (Saturday's)Mister UK competition.
The 20-year-old, originally from Saundersfoot where his grandparents, Alan and Raydene Deakin live, is lining up with handsome young men from all over the country for the contest in Cardiff.
The 30 finalists were chosen from on-line entries of over 2,000, and also taking part is 21-year-old Christoph Williams of Tenby, a former soldier in the Royal Engineers who - as the Western Telegraph recently reported - has swapped the services for a modelling career.
Daniel, who works as a crab fisherman in Aberystwyth, is 'very much looking forward to the competition', said his mum, Jane Deakin, whose company, Mid Wales Motorhomes, is his sponsor for the event.
