DEAR EDITOR There is no educational or entertainment value for children in seeing once proud animals reduced to performing tricks.

There is ample opportunity to see domestic and wild animals in good zoos and on TV in wildlife programmes, behaving naturally.

Children who are aware that the animals live miserable, deprived lives do not want to go to the circus.

Yes, take your children to the circus, but to an animal-free circus when everyone has fun.
