The Preseli Pembrokeshire Constituency Labour Party would like to thank everyone who visited our stand at the County Show and took time to complete our questionaire and draw.
The questionaire attracted some thoughful responses and discussion with elected representatives and party members.
On the August riots consensus was that criminal behaviour was the main cause though concern about spending cuts and policing policy was clear.
The economic situation in general, employment prospects in Pembrokeshire and Withybush Hospital were both high priorities with concerns about the NHS.
Changes in England being implemented in Wales should a Conservative Administration take over in Cardiff in the future.
Another major concern was the performance of the County Council in relation to recent critical reports on child services and education as well as cabinet accountability and scrutiny.
On a local and national level there were concerns on poverty, elderly care, rising unemployment, housing, policing cuts and a need to re-assess the level and speed of cuts.
With Council elections next year we need to send a clear message to the ruling Independent Group at Pembrokeshire County Council that change and more democracy is needed - if anyone would like to join or support our campaign for next May's local elections then please contact us.
Robin Howells, Press Officer, Preseli Pembrokeshire Constituency Labour Party,
