THERE is a long and proud heritage of scouting in St Davids - but in recent years the group folded due to a lack of leadership.
Now an enthused group of local people is helping to re-launch scouting in the city.
The 1st St Davids Scout Group will reopen the doors of the scout hut on Wednesday, March 5 to boys and girls in school years 4 to 9.
The Cubs age group (school years 4-6) will be on each Wednesday from 6:30pm until 7.45pm, and Scouts (school years 6-9) will meet on the same night from 7:15pm to 8:30pm.
To enable parents, friends and community members to find out more, the leaders and District Support Team will be holding a drop-in session at The Bishops on Wednesday, February 19 from 7:30pm to 9pm, where there will be displays and information.
