A new bunch of brainiacs from Llawhaden YFC have recaptured the county’s knockout quiz trophy.
After three gruelling rounds and a tough final against Brawdy YFC, Llawhaden’s team of Tom Bradbury, Anwen James, Victoria James, Owain Lewis, Nick Parish and Alex Robinson emerged triumphant to take the title once again.
In the final, questionmaster Bethan Vaughan served up a selection of brain teasers on subjects such as agriculture, health and safety, sport, entertainment and current affairs, with Llawhaden scoring 73 and a half marks to Brawdy’s 64.
Brawdy’s team was made up of Sarah Atherton, Lewys James, Sam and Steffan Kurtz, Rhiannon Morris and Lydia Salmon.
