A POLISH man who slashed at his own throat in a Haverfordwest courtroom has been arrested in hospital.
Lukasz Robert Pawlowski, 33, was due to be sentenced for sexual assault yesterday (Wednesday), when he took an implement to his own throat.
He was taken to Morriston hospital by air ambulance, and is still in a serious condition.
Police have now said a man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a blade.
A spokeswoman said: "Dyfed-Powys Police have arrested a 33-year-old male on suspicion of possession of an article with a blade/point.
"The investigation is ongoing.”
Pawlowski, of Bush Street, Pembroke Dock, had been scheduled for sentencing after previously pleading guilty to sexual assault by grabbing and kissing a shop assistant.
A Western Telegraph reporter witnessed the shocking incident unfold.
