Moylegrove Coastguards have paid tribute to a valued team member.
The team described Jonathan Wiltshire as a big personality who will leave a large space that will be difficult to fill following his death.
A statement on Facebook read: "It's with great sadness we acknowledge the untimely death of our friend and much valued team member Jonathan Wiltshire.
"Worthers Jon" was a committed coastguard who carried out his duties with enthusiasm, professionalism and pride, and attending training & call-outs at every opportunity. He gave his time generously, together with his wealth of knowledge on a wide range of subjects.
"With his genuine warmth and good humour, he quickly integrated himself into the team, and despite only being with us for a few short years will leave a large space that will be difficult to fill.
"The local community has lost a big personality and Jon will be sorely missed by his "skipper" and team-mates."
They added: "Sleep well mate!"
