WOMEN – and a few men – joined forces to form a continuous line across the Cleddau Bridge this morning to mark International Women's Day.
Soroptimists in Milford Haven, together with Pembrokeshire Women and Pembrokeshire Buddhists, linked together using coloured scarves to show their solidarity with women across the globe.
The event aimed to raise awareness of a variety of women's groups in the county, and act as a reminder that many women and girls worldwide have to walk each day to fetch water, reach market and attend school.
Hands across the Cleddau also highlighted the importance of remaining fit and healthy, and was followed by a five-mile walk.
International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women, and raises awareness of the need for equality for women and girls across the world.
