THREE men have been arrested following an incident in Haverfordwest last night (Sunday).

A 25-year-old and a 21-year-old are in police custody, and a 34-year-old man remains in hospital, after being arrested on suspicion of assault.

A 24-year-old woman was also taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.

Police cordoned off an area on Cartlett Road, near the bottom of Prendergast hill, shortly after 7.50pm last night.

Officers remained stationed in the area, near the former Bridgend Inn and Hampton's Carpets and Beds this morning, preventing pedestrian access to the scene.

A police spokesman said: "Police are investigating an incident which occurred in Cartlett Rd, Haverfordwest at approximately 7.50pm on Sunday, June 24.

"Four people were involved in the incident.

"The scene was cordoned off to assist with the investigation.
