Using a vehicle without road tax has costs a Little Haven building company £2,610.67.
Kevin Thomas, director of KDT Construction Ltd, pleaded guilty to the charge at Haverfordwest magistrates court, when he appeared to make a declaration that he was not aware of previous proceedings, on Wednesday, March 13.
He said: “I did not know that the vehicle had run out of tax, I am to blame for that.”
Thomas added that his correspondence had not been passed on to him after being sent to his ex-partner’s address.
Magistrates fined the company £2,304, based on its turnover, and ordered it to pay £221.67 in back-tax plus an £85 surcharge.
The firm was originally ordered to pay £1,200 following a conviction in its absence on September 24.
