POLICE are appealing for information after three horses’ tails were cut in the Clynderwen area recently.
The horses tails were cut with scissors, police have said.
Police have previously said the reason for tail-cutting incidents is unknown, but there was a market for horsehair tail extensions within the showing community.
A horse’s tail was previously cut in an incident near Haverfordwest back in March.
PCSO Jude Parr of the Rural Crime Team said in both incidents, the horses whose tails had been cut were in fields near to roads.
She asked for anyone who knew of horses in fields near to roads to be vigilant of suspicious vehicles or people in their area.
Anyone with any information please contact the Pembrokeshire Rural Crime Team on the non-emergency 101 phone number, or PCSO Jude Parr directly via 07422 076690.
