Labour party member, Maureen Bowen is taking on the role as Pembroke Dock's town councillor for the Llanion ward.
Her duties will see her provide support and advice to members of the community where needed.
Maureen received a total of 344 votes in the recent elections, beating other candidates Paul Jones and Kevin Higgs to the seat.
She will also be working closely with the county councillor for the Llanion ward, Joshua Beynon who has held this role for the last four years.
