REDUCED fat cheese from First Milk's Haverfordwest Creamery won a top prize at the Royal Welsh Show last week. The Pembrokeshire site beat other creameries from across the UK to win the Reduced Fat Cheese class.
Paul Rowe, site and group projects director at First Milk, commented: "We are extremely proud of all the cheese we produce and are thrilled to pick up this top prize. Cheese is a wholesome food which naturally contains many nutrients including calcium, protein, and B vitamins. With more consumers looking for lower calorie options, our reduced fat cheese gives them this choice, whilst still enabling them to enjoy the great taste of our Pembrokeshire cheddar.
“This award is a testament to a great team effort by our farmers and employees. It also reinforces the great taste and quality of our cheeses alongside their regional provenance.”
