This amazing venue has lots of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, and not only are the activities incredibly fun to take part in, but youngsters also get the chance to explore and learn something new.

The Jubilee Maze is one of Britain’s most famous traditional hedge mazes, with a romantic temple at the centre and over a kilometre of hedges.

Western Telegraph:

It was planted by Lindsay and Edward Heyes in 1977 to commemorate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee, the aMazing Hedge Puzzle has been one of Herefordshire’s most popular private tourist attractions. The maze is a great place to play tag or Marco Polo with all the family. Not up to running around? Play by stealth! There is a viewing platform for calling directions – but who can you trust?

Over the years, the Heyes brothers have added more and more fun-filled activities for all ages, including a butterfly zoo and a miniature golf course.

Western Telegraph:

Experience the delight of nature’s most serene and beautiful wildlife at the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo where you can walk with free flying exotic butterflies and see them supping nectar, finding their mates and laying eggs. The species we breed in our zoo have fascinating survival strategies, and there’s loads to learn. Bring a camera for superb wildlife photography.

The zoo shop has wonderful gifts, butterfly plants, and books on wildlife. It’s a real treat!

Love golf? Then why not have a go at the 12-hole Roman ruin fantasy mini-golf course, which is set in spectacular scenery with challenging obstacles.

Western Telegraph:

The design unites a picturesque Roman ruin theme, retro minigolf style and adventure golf features for the ultimate playability for all ages. This course is a real leveller, so you never know who’ll win. Where else can children beat their parents with a club in a fair contest?

There is also a tearoom selling freshly prepared food as well as a wide range of hot and cold beverages, and two gift shops where you can purchase a memento of your day.

There is plenty of on-site customer parking, safe secure and metered, which also gives access to riverside walks and all other facilities and adventures in Symonds Yat West.

This wonderful site has family interests at its heart, allowing children and parents to take time out of their busy lives and spend time together doing fun activities. Why not pay this magical place a visit this summer?
