On August 28 eight Special Olympics athletes attended the Special Olympics Summer games in Bath as members of the Welsh Team.

The results are as follows

James Tyler from Milford Haven an athlete with Pembrokeshire Harriers competed in 100m with a time of 13.13 seconds which is a personal beat; 200m with a time of 28.6 seconds which is a personal best; Soft ball, he threw 36m gaining a silver medal; in a 4x100 metre relay the team were placed 4th.

Rhys Eynon from Haverfordwest, a swimmer with Pembrokeshire Puffins competed in 100m freestyle where he gained a gold medal; 4 x 100 relay where he gained a bronze medal; breast stroke 50m he came 4th.

Andrew Martin from Haverfordwest a swimmer with Pembrokeshire Puffins; 50m front crawl he gained a gold; 25 metre front crawl he gained a silver.

Richard Young from Tenby a swimmer with Pembrokeshire Puffins; 50m back stroke he gained a bronze medal; 4 x 100 relay (2nd Welsh team) place 4th; 100m freestyle 6th; 50m freestyle 7th.

Joe Andrews from Tenby a swimmer with Pembrokeshire Puffins; 50m back stroke he gained a gold; 50m front crawl he gained a gold; 4x100 relay he gained a bronze; 100m freestyle he was placed 5th.

Jemma Bowie-Hallam from Milford Haven a gymnast with PSNGC, A bars, Beam, Vault, Floor and overall she gained a silver medal.

Emma Martin from Haverfordwest a gymnast with PSNGC A Bars and Beam bronze medal; Vault gained a silver medal; Floor gained a gold medal; Overall gained a bronze medal.

Victoria Walters from Tenby a gymnast with PSNGC Floor, Vault and A Bars 5th place; Bean 4th place; Overall 5th place.

The Welsh gymnastics team of ten gymnasts had terrific of 24 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.
