West Dragons 4
Neyland 1
WEST Dragons are showing plenty of strength and character as they hammered Neyland at The Pavilion Ground.
It’s been a difficult season for the Dragons, but after winning 5-2 in St Clears and this excellent win against the Nomads may help them survive in the top flight.
After a goalless first period the Dragons took advantage of the wind to take the lead in the 49th minute as Joey Jones drilled in the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Craig Georged added a second following a goalmouth scramble in the 70th minute. A minute later Jordan Thomas added a third, the defender making no mistake from eight yards. Sean Hannon pulled a goal back for the visitors from a free kick. But the best goal of the game was saved until last, Rhys Clutterbuck striking a wicked shot from 25 yards that flew in the back of the net.
