Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Clarbeston Road 2-3 Merlins Bridge

THE Wizards came from behind to seal another crucial victory in their quest for the title at Clarbeston Road who put up a superb display.

The Road took the lead in the 12th minute with a stunning goal, Joules Ward controlled the ball, looked up and struck a 30 yard rocket which flew into the top corner of Gary Thomas’ net.

However, the Wizards levelled matters when they were awarded a penalty that Joe Leahy comfortably despatched past Matthew Davies.

The visitors then went into the interval with a slender 2-1 cushion thanks to a well taken header by Nathan Greene.

After the break and the road equalised as striker Jason Griffiths steered his shot past Thomas.

The hosts were dealt a blow when they lost defender Rheinallt George to injury, replaced by their only sub Ben Barnett.

Adam Hawkins took full advantage as the dangerous striker struck the winner from outside the box to secure the points for Matthew D'Ivry's team.
