Division 1: Narberth 3-6 Carew

Scott Ferney scored four goals to ensure Carew won a high scoring affair against Narberth at Jesse Road.

The visitors opened the scoring with a brilliant well-made goal, Fraser Finlay’s 60-yard pass found Shaun Whitfield, the latter’s cross was met by Ferney with a far post sliding finish.

Karl Jones equalised for The Bluebirds with a dipping 30-yard rocket. Former Rook Lloyd Hughes put Narberth in front when he scored from the spot, after Scott Richards was adjudged to have handled in his own area.

Two minutes before the break and the visitors equalised. Finlay was taken down inside the box and Ferney drilled home the resultant spot kick.

After half time and Finlay scored a sublime third, his powerful 25-yard free kick flew in off the post.

Finlay assisted for the fourth as Ferney was on target for his hat-trick to give his side a 4-2 cushion.

Back came the hosts as the luckless Scott Richards struck the ball into his own net.

Whitfield added the fifth with an excellent near post finish and Ferney added the sixth, the striker scored a superb individual effort to wrap things up and make it 10 goals in two games for him.
