Tenby United 53.

Tycroes 5.

Two tries apiece for Sam Smith and Gavin Brace helped Tenby gain one of their biggest wins of the season against Tycroes and jet them into contention at the top of the table as the three teams above them all lost.

It also provided a measure of the strides made by the Seasiders since the start of this campaign because when the teams met in September it was Tycroes who coasted to a 23-7 success.

But if number eight Smith and centre Brace supplied the finish this was an all-round team effort, from full back Mike Georgiou to props Scott Payne and Lee Tucker, who worked tirelessly up front alongside Mike Lewis, Gareth Edwards and skipper Ifan Davies in providing ball for Wyndham Williams, Emyr Hughes and Smith to use in conjunction with half backs Will Crockford and Tom Lewis.

The Seasiders had the game in the bag by the break as they led 26-0 thanks to Smith (2), Brace and Georgiou, three of them converted by Lewis, and it was a similar story in the second period, although Tycroes did grab a consolation score through winger Lee Griffiths.

The Tenby tries came from powerful winger Paul Luger, Brace again, centre Mark Heywood and prop Payne, with Lewis again on target with three conversions to round off an excellent victory for the rampant Seasiders.
