Fishguard & Goodwick's senior women's side hosted a travelling Gwent 4 and were able to maintain their perfect home record this season with a comfortable victory.

The away team were down on numbers for the duration of the game, which was of great benefit to Fishguard, but Gwent were a credit to themselves and their club as they were well drilled, and the result was not based on their quality of play.

The hosts started strongly with Gwent looking to match them in the early stages, and despite some early pressure Gwent were able to repel the attack. It was eventually Nia Colella who was able to break the deadlock after an assist from Chloe Perkins in what went on to be an astonishing game for her. After the opener the home side relaxed and more goals followed in the first half, with Carys James was able to score to double the advantage before she linked up with Nia for Nia to add another three before the break, as well as a debut assist for Sammy Jenkins, leaving the home side five goals to the good at the break.

The second half saw the hosts continue the pressure and make the most of having strong options on the bench, as Gwent fought hard but ultimately the numerical advantage was too decisive. Nia Colella starred adding a further five goals in the second half to give herself a triple hat-trick by the full-time whistle, on a day where the hosts were able to bounce back from last week looking ahead to the winter break.
