Tenby 21.

Bettws 3. Sixteen points from outside half Tom Lewis helped Tenby United gain a deserved win against Bettws at a rain-swept Heywood Lane.

Lewis, back in his favourite No 10 shirt, also kicked well out of the hand to keep the Seasiders moving forward in the first half, when they established a 14-0 lead and worked well with Rhys Thomas at scrum half, in closing up the second period when Bettws tried hard to claw their way back into contention.

Lewis opened the Tenby scoring with an early penalty and they grabbed their first try when quick hands from Thomas, Lewis and Mark Heywood allowed centre Gavin Brace to slice through for a good try. Lewis was off target on this occasion but soon made amends when great work up front by Mike Lewis, Simon Griffiths, Harry Bolton, skipper Lee Tucker and the rest of the home pack, allowed Lewis to land another two penalties.

The Seasiders conceded three points when Richard Griffiths landed a penalty for Bettws but Wyndham Williams, Gareth Edwards, Rob James and Nicky Guymer joined Tucker and Bolton in setting up a strong platform. Lewis killed off any lingering hopes that the visitors had of a comeback as he powered over for an excellent try which he also converted to give Tenby United a well-deserved home win.
