Brazil is just nuts about Terry.

With the suspension of Gareth Elliott, Derek Brazil gave the captain’s armband to Terry Evans on Saturday against Pontypridd Town. Recently, Derek spoke about Terry and was pretty forthright in his views.

“Terry is at the club because of who he is, what he has done, and what he continues to do,” he said. “He is a superb professional and I can’t speak highly enough of him. When they made Terry, they threw away the mold. I’m delighted he is at the club.”

Last season Evans was voted by his team-mates as their best player. He has made more than 250 Welsh Premier League appearances and has had spells with Cardiff City, Swansea and Newport, as well as winning three Wales under-21 caps.

Bluebirds travel to Rhyl for Welsh Cup encounter.

County have been drawn away in the third round of the Welsh Cup. In a reversal of last season’s fourth round fixture Derek Brazil’s boys have to travel to Rhyl on November 1st. Last season, the Lilywhites knocked the Bluebirds out of the cup by two goals to one, so the team will be hoping to reverse the score as well as the venue.

The Supporters’ Association is organising a bus to the game, at a cost of £15 for members and £18 for non-members. If you are interested in going please contact Eddie Bunston or Kevin Bryce at the club.
