Narberth 3.

St Ishmaels 1.

Narberth deservedly came out on top over second from bottom St Ishmaels at Jesse Road.

Narberth manager Nigel Thomas was delighted that his side won their third victory of the campaign, while Tish manager Glyn Griffiths was left feeling annoyed and disappointed that his side didn’t do better.

The only goal of the first period came around the half hour mark, as Morgan Preece sprung Tish’s offside trap and raced clear to round keeper Jonathan Pawlett and tuck the ball home into the empty net.

The hosts had to wait until the 70th minute before they doubled their advantage. Midfielder Raff Barnett powerfully drilling past Jonathan Pawlett from the edge of the area.

The visitors rallied as striker Gareth Cheshire pulled one back.

But ten minutes from the end substitute Jordan Williams beat a couple of defenders and rounded Pawlett to score and seal three precious points for the highly-delighted Bluebirds.
