Herbrandston 1.

Kilgetty 1.

Herbrandston and Kilgetty deservedly shared the spoils as they played some good football in an entertaining first period and battled hard after the interval in worsening weather.

Kilgetty made a cracking start as they made Herbrandston pay a heavy price for an early defensive lapse when Grant James fired his shot past Jonathan Crimmins.

Herbie levelled matters after 32 minutes when striker Ashton Plunkett got on the end of a cross to slot the ball past David Lewis.

In the second period Daniel Munn put a header for Herbie just over the bar and for Kilgetty a typically powerful drive from Nicky Cope was parried over his crossbar by Crimmins for the save of the match.

The final whistle from referee Chris Stapleton saw the teams still sharing two goals and in the final analysis a draw was perhaps the fairest result on the balance of play.
