Matthew Jones grabbed two second half goals to ease Pennar Robins to an expected victory over relegated Carew.

The visitors leaped frog close neighbours Monkton Swifts up to second spot and have just three games left to play this season.

The visitors only led one-nil at the interval. Lee Brockway broke clear and neatly tucked the ball past advancing keeper Sion Jenkins.

In the second period with a strong wind at their backs, the Robins began to dominate with very little fight back from Mackie Harts’ dejected Carew outfit.

Nathan Patterson cleverly chipped keeper Jenkins for his side’s second ten minutes after the restart.

On the hour mark Jones showed good control to knee and volley home from a corner for the third.

Ten minutes from full time and Jones added his second following good build-up and ended with a quality finish to seal a very one-sided victory.
