Carew travelled to Ystradgynlais and lost 3-2 to bow out of the West Wales Intermediate Cup.
The home side built up a 2-0 cushion at half time and then added a third midway through the second period.
However, the visitors didn’t throw in the towel and striker Brian Hall scored twice to give them a glimmer of hope as they pressed hard for an equaliser without lady luck on their side.
Narberth’s cup clash with CMB was postponed and will take place this Saturday at Jesse Road. Kick off will be at 2pm.
