Charlotte Whalley, aged five, of Haverfordwest Gym Club has made a fantastic start to her artistic gymnastics career by winning the West area grade 16 inter-club friendly.
Competing alongside Ellen Darling, the girls brought back five individual apparatus medals and gold for Charlotte as the overall champion. Ellen was placed second on vault and third on bench, while Charlotte won the vault and bench and was placed second on floor.
In the Grade 15 competition Isla Davies, aged six, also at her first artistic event, was placed second in the range and conditioning. Isla was competing against a very strong field of gymnasts. Her coach Laura Jones was delighted with her performance as well as the success of Charlotte and Ellen.
All three girls will now work towards their next grade event to be held later this year.
