A Haverfordwest man is getting ready for the biggest challenge of his life.
Martin Hughes, who works for the Welsh Ambulance Service, is competing in the Snowdonia Marathon. The 26.2 mile race has previously been dubbed ‘Europe’s toughest marathon’.
“I have taken part in many half marathon’s and 10K runs, but this is the first time I am doing one for charity,” said Martin who has run both the Dale and Cardiff half marathons in the build up to this race.
“I am trying to raise funds for the Everyman Cancer Charity, who are researching prostate and testicular cancer.
“I am hoping to raise £1000, which I believe is an achievable target.”
