Pembroke County 3
After a slip up in their last away trip to the students of Aberystwyth, County were determined to restore their positive away record.
In the early exchanges it seemed that both sides would adopt an expansive passing game. Steve Cristofaro opened the scoring, finishing in a crowded D mid way through the first half.
The second half saw Cardiff come out of the blocks a little keener keeping County under sustained pressure, but the County defence and in particular Nick Brookes stood firm.
Mark Brimacombe, whose pace was a constant threat to the student defence, was halted via an obstruction in the D. The resulting short corner was scored by Martyn Passmore. Paul Baldy saw his shot stopped on the line by a Cardiff foot, the resulting flick was scored by Martyn Passmore.
Pembroke County: Andrew Major, Nick Brookes, Paul Baldy, Sam Kirkhouse, Jack Pinson, Dan Sergeant, Ed Clements, Mark Brimacombe (capt) Danny Pryke, Martyn Passmore, Steve Cristofaro, Darren Oddy, Scott Lewis.
