A CHEQUE for more than £1,400 has been handed over to Cardigan Cancer Care following a 70th birthday bash.
Mr Rob Hughes celebrated his 70th birthday on the July 29 with a party held in Cilgerran Village Hall. The guests were requested not to bring any presents but to make donations to Cardigan Cancer Care.
The party headlined with local three-piece rock ‘n’ roll group 'Doc and the Headshrinkers' and featured music from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s. It was attended by upwards of 200 guests and raised the magnificent sum of £1430.35.
