A PEMBROKE school has warned parents to be vigilant after children reported being followed by an “unknown man” this morning.
Golden Grove School’s headteacher Andrew Williams sent a letter home with children this afternoon advising parents of an incident on the morning of September 27.
The letter, which has been posted on social media, states: “Children walking to school have informed us they were followed by an unknown man whose behaviour was upsetting to them.
“Our school places safeguarding of the pupils as a priority and we have acted promptly to inform the Police, the Education Authority and the parents of the children directly involved.”
The incident is said to have occurred near “school property” and Mr Williams asks that parents and children remain calm but vigilant.
Any further incidents of concern should be reported to police.
