Both Cardigan lifeboats were launched yesterday (Sunday) lunch time. Along with the town’s coastguard rescue team, they went to the aid of a holiday maker who had fallen on the coast path.
The woman, who was in her 40s, had tumbled on the path between Cae Bach and Poppit Sands, spraining her ankle.
She was evacuated off the path onto the lifeboat which took her back to Poppit Sands . The walker, who was on holiday from South Africa, did not require medical assistance. She was helped off the lifeboat by coastguards and returned to her car.
