MR L. J. ROBLIN HAVERFORDWEST The funeral of Mr Leslie James Roblin, formerly of Atlanta, Tan Bank, Haverfordwest, took place at St David's Church, Prendergast, on Friday. As reported in an earlier issue, Les died at Brooklands Nursing Home, Saundersfoot, on March 5th. He was 84. Les was the youngest son of Mary Ellen and Willie Roblin. His sister Cissie and brother Stanley predeceased him many years ago. At the age of 14, he left Haverfordwest Grammar School to join his father's building/plastering firm. Together, Stanley and Les formed the reputable partnership of Roblin Bros. Alongside Les, his old pal Trevor Buttle worked among the community, establishing a well-respected name. When World War Two broke out, Les enrolled with the RAF as an aircraft technician. As he was colour blind, he was unable to become a rear gunner, but served his time with great commitment, through the Battle of Britain and then in India for three years. His years in the RAF were never forgotten and even to the end he always spoke proudly and with sadness of the friends he made and lost. A staunch member of the RAFA, Haverfordwest, and RAOB, he was a loyal supporter. A family man, Les enjoyed life to the full. Laughter and smiles always encircled him. He was married for 55 years to Beryl, who predeceased him 12 months ago. The bearers were Stephen, Simon and Matthew (grandsons), Phil Bollom (nephew). He leaves to mourn his daughter Auriel and her partner Ed; Steve and Beryl (son and daughter-in-law); Catherine and Adrian, Allison and Richard, Simon, Steve and Petrina, Gennie and Matthew, Matthew and Claire (grandchildren); Natasha, James and Glen (great-grandchildren), together with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were carried out by Roy Folland and Son, Haverfordwest.

Mr L. Williams Newport Locals in and around Newport were shocked and saddened to hear of the death, aged 49, of Lyn Williams, of Weyburn, Long Street, Newport, on November 20th. Lyn was very popular, highly regarded and respected by all who knew him. A native of Newport, he was a carpenter employed by Pembrokeshire County Council. He was a great favourite with his workmates, as testified by the large number who attended his funeral. A service was held for the family at the home on November 27th, followed by a public service at Ebenezer Chapel. The service was conducted by Rev T. R. Jones assisted by Rev Alwyn Daniels and Rev John Bryan. Apologies were received from his former minister, Rev Emyr Jones, who was unable to attend. The large congregation included family, friends and co-workers. He was buried at Bryn Hyfryd Cemetry. The bearers were Ian Stephenson, Euros Harries, Clive Evans, Gareth Williams, Richard Howell and Phillip Merchant, co-workers. The principal mourners were: Anona (wife); Delyth and Sara (daughters); Rhonwen and Clive (sister and brother-in-law); Aeron and Biddy (brother and sister-in-law); Mari (mother-in-law), Boti and Berwyn (sister-in-law and brother-in-law), Angharad, Ioan, Rhian, Matthew, Sioned, Rhodri and Trystan (nephews and nieces) along with family and friends too numerous to mention. There were family flowers only, with donations given, in memory of Lyn, towards research into still births - a cause close to his heart. The donations came to £900.

MRS G. M. DAVIES MILFORD HAVEN The death occurred at Merlin House Residential Home, on March 4th, of Mrs Gladys May Davies, formerly of 21 Gellyswick Road, Hakin, Milford Haven. She was 83. Gladys was predeceased by her daughter Judith and by husband Tommy. Gladys was a native of Cardiff, who moved to Milford Haven as a child. On leaving school, she worked at the mining depot and the fish market and also worked on the land most of her life until her retirement. She met her husband Thomas in Milford Haven, where they married and she became a housewife and mother. Gladys enjoyed doing crosswords, puzzles, knitting and spending time with family and friends. Family left to mourn are: Robert and partner; Richard and Jackie (sons and daughter-in-law); Jane and Robert (daughter and son-in-law); Marc, Ceri, Kate, Lee and Claire, Lindsay, Daniel, Jamie, Kelly, Charlotte and Ethan (grandchildren); Jack, Brandon and Lauren (great-grandchildren); and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral took place at Priory Road Methodist church on Thursday, and the bearers were Lee Davies, Daniel Davies, Jamie Davies (grandsons) and Graham Jones (family friend). Principal mourners were: Robert (son); Richard and Jackie (son and daughter-in-law); Jane and Robert (daughter and son-in-law); Lee and Claire (grandson and wife); Daniel and Jamie (grandsons); and nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Unable to attend were: Lindsay, Jack and Brandon (granddaughter and great-grandsons), from Liverpool. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Tom Newing and Sons Ltd, Dartmouth Street, Milford Haven.

MR G. T. G. DAVIES PEMBROKE The death occurred on February 18th, at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, of Mr Terry Davies, aged 61, of 29 Woodbine Terrace, Pembroke, husband of Val Davies. He was a father to Helen, grandfather to Natasha and a brother to Malcolm, Barbara and Gill. Terry was born and brought up in Pembroke Dock, the second son of the late Gwylum and Betty Davies, moving away as a boy for a short time while his father was in the Army. He worked for David Saunders Haulage and then went to David Phillips at Rocky Park, which is now at Well Hill, where he spent many happy years, until ill-health forced him to retire early five years ago. His interests, which he enjoyed in his early retirement, were classic cars and tractors. He was also a member of The Vintage Car Club. Terry will be remembered for his lively sense of humour and dry wit. Mourners were: Val (wife); Helen and Tilo (daughter and son-in-law); Natasha (granddaughter); Malcolm and Margaret (brother and wife); Gill and Les (sister and husband); Barbara and Mike (sister and husband); and numerous family and friends, too numerous to mention. There were family flowers only, with donations in lieu to Anchorage SAC, which may be sent to funeral director Neil Roberts, of John Roberts and Son, 51 Bush Street, Pembroke Dock, who carried out the funeral arrangements.

MR A. BLAIN SAUNDERSFOOT Mr Alexander Blain died at Pencoed Residential Home, Wooden, Saundersfoot, on March 4th, aged 83. Mr Blain was a native of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, and was a motor mechanic at Shell Refinery at Stanlow, Ellesmere Port. He also served in the Merchant Navy with the Russian Convoys and his main interests were racing pigeons, football, nature, wildlife and the countryside. Predeceased by his wife Jane on April 25th, 1995, Alexander leaves to mourn George Blain (brother); and nephews and nieces. The funeral took place at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, on Monday, and was conducted by Rev D. Davies. Bearers were Mark and Adam Stevens and Gareth and Kevin Blain. Principal mourners were: Alan and Jackie Blain (son and daughter-in-law); Gareth, Kevin and Nina (grandchildren); Linda and Chris Stevens (daughter and son-in-law); Mark and Adam (grandsons); Jessica (great-granddaughter); Sandra and Philip Griffiths (daughter and son-in-law); Jacob (grandson). There were family flowers only, with donations in lieu for Cancer Research UK, which may be sent to Stewart Treharne, of E. C. Thomas and Son, funeral directors, Archways, Green Plains, Stepaside, Narberth, SA67 8LT, who carried out the funeral arrangements.

MR A. M. JOHNS LETTERSTON The death occurred on March 3rd, after a two-week stay at Withybush Hospital, of Mr Alwyn Mathias Johns, aged 80, formerly of New House, 41 St Davids Road, Letterston, and latterly of Greylyns Residential Home, Letterston. A native of Letterston, he farmed at New House with his wife Peggy for many years. During World War Two, he served with the 4th Welsh Regiment and was wounded in action in Holland. Before ill-health overtook him, he was a popular bus driver with Summerdale Garage, Letterston, taking children with disabilities to school. Very popular in Letterston, he possessed a pleasing personality and a fine tenor voice and was very popular. His wife having predeceased him in 2001, he lived happily in Greylyns during the last few years. He will be greatly missed ny his sister Nesta, niece Gaynor, nephews Gerwyn and Gerallt, together with many cousins, distant relatives and friends. The funeral took place last Wednesday, at Saron Baptist Chapel, where he had been a faithful member. Rev Gwyn Rogers officiated assisted by Revs John Roberts and Carl Williams. The bearers were Irwin James (cousin), Denzil Phillips (friend), Arwel Rowlands (friend) and Alfie Mathias. There were family flowers only, but donations in lieu for the Alzheimer's Society may be sent c/o Mr Bill Allen, 25, St Davids Road, Letterston. The funeral arrangements were carried out by William Lewis, Ford Bungalow, Wolfscastle.

MRS D. A. WHEELER JOHNSTON (formerly of Pelcomb Cross) The death occurred on February 23rd, at Withybush Hospital, of Mrs Dorothy Ann Wheeler, of Fairfield Nursing Home, Johnston, aged 94. Mrs Wheeler was a native of Nolton and on leaving school, went into service for Lord Kensington until her marriage in 1933. She lived at Druidston, where her three children were born and in the early 1950s moved to Pelcomb Cross. She was a member of the canteen staff at Camrose South school until her retirement in 1968. Dorothy was a keen member of several retirement clubs and enjoyed walking, reading and television. She was a staunch member of Nolton Haven chapel in her younger days and then Keyston chapel. Predeceased by her husband William John Wheeler (Jack), 34 years ago, family left to mourn are: Jean and Mel Jenkins, Vera and Norman Ainsworth (daughters and sons-in-law); Jim and Diane Wheeler (son and daughter-in-law); Vanessa, Julie, Martin, Janet and Huw (grandchildren); Rhianna and James (great-grandchildren). The funeral was held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium on March 7th, and was conducted by Mr Richard Laws. Bearers were Norman Ainsworth, Mel Jenkins (sons-in-law), Peter Wheeler (nephew) and Tom Morris (friend). Her ashes, together with the floral tributes were taken to the family grave at Walton West Cemetery. Principal mourners were: Jean and Mel Jenkins; Vera and Norman Ainsworth; Jim and Diane Wheeler; Vanessa, Julie and Martin (grandchildren); Ann, Bronwen and Bertie (cousins); George Grey, Peter Wheeler, John and Rosemary Wheeler (nephews); Barbara Lewis (niece); also close friends and neighbours. Unable to attend were grandchildren, Janet (Bahrain) and Huw (USA). The eldest grandchild, Carol, died in 1984. There were family flowers only, with donations in lieu to Nolton Haven Chapel, c/o N. Ainsworth, 13 Pelcomb Villas, Pelcomb Cross, Haverfordwest. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Roy Folland and Son.

MRS D. M. LLOYD TENBY (formerly of Narberth) The funeral took place on Thursday, of Mrs Doreen Mary Lloyd, of Belmont Court Nursing Home, Tenby, and formerly of Narberth, who died, aged 89, on March 4th. Predeceased by her husband Tom, she is survived by daughter Pat, son Ronald, daughter-in-law Nancy, son Ken, daughter-in-law Carol, son David, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sister Connie. The funeral service at St Mary's Church, Tenby was followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn. The funeral arrangements were carried out by W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd, The Old Rectory, The Norton, Tenby.

MRS B.M. MORGAN TENBY The funeral took place yesterday (Tuesday) of Mrs Brenda Mary Morgan, formerly of Cefn Heulog, St Mary's Street, Tenby. She died at Belmont Court Nursing Home, Tenby on Sunday of last week. Predeceased by her husband Dick, she is survived by her sons David and Philip, daughters-in-law Jennifer, Sandra and grandchildren Hannah, Tom and Sam and brother-in-law Ken. The funeral service at St Johns Church, Tenby was followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn. There were family flowers only, with donations in lieu to St Johns Church, Tenby, or Arthritis Research Campaign, c/o the funeral directors, W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd, The Old Rectory, The Norton, Tenby.

MR W. J. GWYTHER NARBERTH The funeral took place on Monday, March 7th at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, of Mr W. J. (Bill) Gwyther, of 13 Halkon Crescent, Narberth. Mr Gwyther died on March 2nd, at Withybush Hospital, at the age of 86. Rev Peter Lewis officiated at the service. Mr Gwyther had worked for Pembrokeshire County Council, from where he retired in 1984, for 20 years and previously at James Williams, Narberth. He served in the Royal Artillery between 1939 and 1946, and was a Prisoner of War in the Far East for three-and-a-half years. Mr Gwyther was a survivor of the sinking of the Japanese POW ship Lisbon Maru in October 1942. His main interests were rugby and horse racing and he was also a member of Narberth RFC, although he had not attended for several years due to poor health. Family left to mourn are Dilys Gwyther (sister-in-law); William and John Gwyther (nephews); Ann Tobey and Dai and Gwyn Thomas (cousins). Principal mourners were Dilys Gwyther; William and Nikki Gwyther; John and Jackie Gwyther; Ann and Alan Tobey. The bearers were Kim Llewellyn, John and Michael Keohane, Owen O'Connor. There were family flowers only, with donations in lie for the British Legion. W. J. Kenneth Davies, Blaenwern, Clynderwen undertook the funeral arrangements.

MR W. K. ANDREW PEMBROKE The funeral took place on March 3rd, of Mr William Keith Andrew, of 10 Castle View, Pembroke, following a short stay on ward ten, Withybush Hospital. He was 76. Rev Roger Jones conducted the service at St Mary's church, Pembroke, which was followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn. Keith was born in Langold, Nottinghamshire in 1928 and moved with his family to Retford in 1939. After leaving school at 14, he went to work on the railways at 16, becoming an engine driver on the East Coast line. In the 1960s, along with colleagues, it was not unusual for him to be on the footplate of the Flying Scotsman, Mallard etc, for short journeys. When the Retford Depot closed in 1965, Keith started work in the power industry at West Burton, moving to Ironbridge, and Pembroke in 1971, after which he took semi-retirement following six-and-a-half years in Libya and Saudi Arabia. During his years in Retford, among other hobbies, Keith became a master bowman, winning club, county, Martini and East Midlands championships, and twice receiving the Golden Arrow Trophy from the Sheriff of Nottingham, which carried the honorary title of Captain of Sherwood Forest. He leaves to mourn his wife of 54 years, Dorothy, and daughters Tina, Fiona and Elizabeth; grandchildren Rhiannon, Philippa and Sam. Unable to attend the funeral were sister and brother, Jean and Donald, Retford. Funeral arrangements were made by John Roberts and Son, Bush Street, Pembroke Dock.

MRS W. M. R. HARRIES LLANGWM The death occurred on Mother's Day, March 6th on ward ten, Withybush Hospital, of Mrs Winifred Mair Read Harries, known as Mair, of 1 River View, Llangwm. She was 76. Mair was the daughter of the late Tom Alfred Bowen, former headmaster of Rosemarket VC school, and Margaret May Bowen. She followed in her father's footsteps by becoming a teacher in Llangwm, where she taught for a number of years. She married John in December 1953 in Rosemarket Parish church and they spent almost 52 years together. She was devoted to her family and became involved in many fundraising events for the local primary and secondary schools where her children, son Jonathan, and daughter Tricia attended. As her family grew up, she concentrated her efforts on her grandchildren. She dedicated her life to others and worked for various charities, including Barnardo's, the Red Cross, Cancer Research and other overseas organisations. Mair will be remembered for her kind and generous nature In her latter years she suffered from cancer, an illness she fought with courage and determination until the end. Her character and vision was profound and she will be dearly missed. The funeral service was conducted by Rev Chris Barnes and took place on Friday, at Rosemarket Parish church, where Mair used to play the organ in her earlier years. She also organised the Sunday school there when she moved to Rosemarket. The principal mourners were: John (husband); Jonathan and Jackie (son and daughter-in-law); Tricia and Garry (daughter and son-in-law); Anna, Tom, Joe and Sophie (grandchildren); Rutley Bowen (brother); Gaelle and Marcus (niece and nephew); several other close relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Unable to attend was Menna Bowen (stepmother); Stanley and Gwyneth Harries (brother-in-law and sister-in-law); Margaret Harries (sister-in-law). There were family floral tributes only, with donations in lieu to the ward ten trust fund at Withybush Hospital. The funeral arrangements were undertaken by Glyn Thomas and Son, Freystrop, Haverfordwest.

MR G. MORGAN HAVERFORDWEST The funeral took place on Friday, at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, of Gordon Morgan, who died at his home on March 7th, aged 74. He was the husband of Winnie, father of Gareth and Helen, father-in-law of Eleanor and Peter and grandfather of Andrea, Angharad and Matthew. The service was conducted by Father Owen McGreal, a family friend. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. There were family flowers only. Donations in lieu for ward ten, Withybush Hospital may be sent to Mr Mike Jones, Little Valley, Wiston, Haverfordwest, SA62 4PJ. Funeral arrangements were carried out by Robin Folland.

MR T. G. THOROUGHGOOD HUNDLETON The death occurred at Ashdale Nursing Home, Pembroke, on March 1st, of Mr Thomas George Thoroughgood, of Crook-ydy-Cam, Hundleton. He was 87. A native of Hundleton, George, as he was known, started his working life serving as an apprentice wheelright and carpenter with Harry Davies, The Quay, Pembroke. He also assisted Mr Davies in the undertaking side of the business until the outbreak of the Second World War. On returning from the war, he was employed by the MoD at Llanion Barracks and Castlemartin as a foreman carpenter until he retired in 1983. George served with the REME regiment and saw action in North Africa and Italy. He received the Italy Star Medal and numerous other service medals. His main interests were gardening, wildlife, St David's Church, Hundleton, the REME Association, the Royal British Legion and local history. In his younger days, George was a vicar's warden and people's warden at St David's Church and was also a member of the community council in Hundleton. He leaves to mourn Mary Jordan (niece); Joan and David Britt, Robert and Sally Elliott, Christopher and Isabel Elliott and Sam, Rhys and Lucy Elliott. The funeral took place at St David's Church, Hundleton, on March 8th, followed by interment in the churchyard. The service was officiated by Rev Martin Cox, Rev Roger Williams and Rev Caroline Wood and the bearers were Nigel Williams, Peter Luff, Paul Thomas and Stewart Treharne. The principal mourners were Joan and Dave Britt, Robert and Sally Elliott, Christopher and Isabel Elliott and Mary Jordon. There were family flowers only with donations for St David's Church, Hundleton, c/o G. Thomas, 34 Charles Thomas Avenue, Pembroke Dock. The funeral arrangements were carried out by E. C. Thomas and Son, funeral directors, 31 Stockwell Road, Pembroke Dock.

MRS E. NASH PEMBROKE (formerly of Wallsend-Upon-Tyne) The death occurred at Ashdale Nursing Home, Pembroke, on March 3rd of Mrs Esther Nash. She was 84. Mrs Nash was a native of Wallsend-Upon-Tyne. Due to ill-health, she moved to Pembroke four-and-a-half years ago to be near her family. Her main interests were her home and family. Predeceased by her husband, John, in 1990, she leaves to mourn Bill and Angela (son and daughter-in-law); Marcus and Emma (grandson and wife); Kirsty and Peter (granddaughter and husband) and Charlotte (great-granddaughter). The funeral took place on March 14th at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, and was conducted by Rev Roger Jones. The bearers were Bill Nash, Bill Wilson, Marcus Nash and Peter Rattenberry. The funeral arrangements were carried out by John Roberts and Son, 51 Bush Street, Pembroke Dock.

MR K. R. WILDEY SIMPSON CROSS The funeral took place on March 7th, of Kenneth Raymond Wildey, who died in Withybush Hospital on February 28th, aged 74. Ken was born in Wimbledon, London, the youngest of 12 children. In the early 1970s he was owner of the Butchers Arms, Tegryn. But ill-health forced him to sell up, and move with his wife and children to Wiltshire. He moved back to Wales with his wife on her retirement, to Keep Hill End, Simpson Cross, in 2000. Ken suffered with increasingly bad health for many years. He leaves to mourn his wife Iris, son Glyn, daughter Melanie, daughter-in-law Mandy, son-in-law Tony and granddaughters Lauren and Olivia. The funeral service was held in Cardiff, followed by a Woodland burial in Thornhill Road Cemetery, Cardiff. There were family flowers only, but donations in lieu to World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). Funeral arrangements were carried out by Green Willow Funerals, Cardiff.

MR H. G. COUZENS HAVERFORDWEST The funeral took place on February 24th at Tiers Cross chapel, with interment at Tiers Cross cemetery, of Mr Herbert Gwynne Couzens, of Bellmoor Farm, Portfield Gate, Haverfordwest. He was 82 and died at Withybush Hospital. Mr Couzens had been in beef and sheep farming all his life. Family left to mourn and principal mourners at the funeral were: Beryl Couzens (wife); Pam (daughter); Geoff and Tricia (son and partner) and Gemma (partner's daughter); Eveline Couzens (sister); Roy and Elaine Couzens, John Couzens, Jane and Hwyel Harries (cousins); Wilfred Richards, Iris Bevan, Sarah Evans (close friends).

MR G. T. WICKLAND PEMBROKE The funeral took place on March 4th, at St Michael's Church, Pembroke, of George Thomas Wickland, of 26 St Anne's Crescent, Pembroke, who died at Withybush Hospital on February 24th, aged 80. Rev Roger Jones conducted the service, which was followed by interment at St Michael's Cemetery, Pembroke. The bearers were Christopher and Richard (sons) Daniel and Gavin (grandsons). George, originally from Tenby, was employed for many years at the old Pembroke Council, before retiring. George's interests centred on his family home and garden. Over the last few years George's health had deteriorated and his illness left him confined to his home, where he was cared for by his wife May, to whom he had been married to for just over 50 years. George will be greatly missed by his family - May (wife); Gerald and Julie (son and daughter-in-Iaw); Judy and Jeff (daughter and partner); Christopher and Susan (son and daughter-in-law), Richard and Lisa (son and partner), Angela and Jeff (daughter and son-in-law); grandchildren Catherine and Vanessa, Dean and Gemma, Samantha, Daniel and Michelle, Gavin, Amanda and Luke, Michael and Nigel and great-grandchildren Becky, Morgan and baby Toby. Unable to attend were brothers John and Desmond and sister-in-law Shirley. Also left to mourn is George's sister Enid and husband Douglas, (niece Rebecca), Brian and Janet (nephew and wife), Tony (brother-in-law), Pam and Phil, Carol and Brian (sister-in-law and husband) together with many nephews, nieces and cousins. There were family flowers only but donations in lieu can be made for the Crossroads Carers, c/o John Roberts and Son, 51 Bush Street, Pembroke Dock.

MR W. J. CATO WOLFSCASTLE The death occurred at Withybush Hospital on March 3rd, of Mr William John Cato, of Brynawel, Wolfscastle. He was 86. Mr Cato was a native of Wales and had worked at G. W. Railway and for many years at RNAD, Trecwn. His main interests were music, his garden, horse racing and the outdoor life. Predeceased by his wife Olivia, William leaves to mourn: Janet (daughter); Billy (son-in-law); Norman and Ieuan (sons); Jayne and family (partner); Dilys (very special partner); Ian, Jamie, Jodie, Ceri Collette, Sarah, Jennifer and David (grandchildren); Joshua and Kiara (great-grandchildren). Bearers were Ieuan Cato, Ian Cato, Billy O'Leary, David O'Leary, Tommy O'Connor, Stuart Fox, Myrddin Howells, Andrew Blundell, Martin Blundell and Roy John. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr William Lewis.

MR J. BEVANS MONKTON The funeral took place on Thursday, of Mr James 'Peter' Bevans, of 30 Gwillam Court, Monkton, who died on March 2nd on arrival at Withybush Hospital, at the age of 41. The funeral service was followed by cremation and was at Parc Gwyn. Mr Bevans was a native of Broadmoor, Kilgetty and on leaving school he worked for Tenby Town Council as a gardener until ill-heath forced him to finish. His main interests was photography, writing poetry and fishing, and he was a member of Tenby Fishing Club. He leaves to mourn his daughters Rebecca and Gemma Bevans, his mother Margaret Bevans, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Father Paul Davies officiated. The bearers were John, Michael and David Bevans (brothers) and Christopher Bevans (nephew), Garfield Thomas and Peter Harts (brothers-in-law). The principal mourners were Rebecca and Gemma Bevans (daughters); Margaret Bevans (mother); Jon, Linda, Michael, Jean, David, Helen (brothers and sisters-in-law); Christine, Garfield, Sandra, Peter (sisters and brothers-in-law); nephews, nieces, aunties, uncles, cousins, friends too numerous to mention. Peter donated his corneas to the Bristol Eye Hospital and his heart and lungs to be used for research at The Royal Brampton Hospital, London. There were family flowers only but donations to Royal Brampton Hospital forwarded to Graham Thomas, 34 Charles Avenue, Pembroke Dock SA72 6UR. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Stewart Treharne of E. C. Thomas and Sons, funeral directors, Archways, Green Plains, Stepaside.

MR C. D. RAINER MILFORD HAVEN The funeral took place yesterday (Tuesday) of Mr Clement David Rainer, of Hilton House, Milford Haven, who had died on Thursday at his home. He was 79. The funeral was held at Hamilton Court Funeral Home and was followed by burial at Milford Haven Cemetery. Rev Paul Bartlett officiated at the service. Tom Newing and Sons Ltd, incorporating Neyland Funeral Services, Hamilton Court, Dartmouth Street, Milford Haven, carried out the funeral arrangements.
