ArtAt Festival 2011 is bringing a dose of culture with a green message to Pembrokeshire this bank holiday weekend.

This year’s festival, held in Rhosygilwen Mansion, Cilgerran, will display a variety of art pieces; many of which have been composed of recycled materials.

The artwork reflects the artists’ concerns with environmental, recycling and green issues.

Greeting art-lovers as they enter the festival will be the ‘Sol’ horse’s head sculpture by Chris Crane, made out of recycled wind turbines, gas gaskets and other scrap metals.

Highlights of the festival will include the Trashion Fashion Show as part of the festival opening; as well as art forums, workshops and musical performances over the weekend.

The festival, now in its fourth year, has been sponsored by California-based company MiaSolé, to celebrate the launch of the new Western Solar Park at Rhosygilwen The festival will be open from August 26th to 29th with free entry from noon to 6pm.
